Jesse loves big type— maybe a little too much. Jesse moved from San Francisco to the sunnier shores of Honolulu in 2001. In San Francisco he worked for the health care and high tech industries, and also re-branded and art directed 3 dot com startups there. In Honolulu, Jesse served as Art Director for the Waikiki Aquarium, completing all visual design for them, including interactive exhibit design. He also worked at some Honolulu’s largest and most successful advertising agencies, MVNP (Senior Designer), Anthology Marketing Group (Senior Art Director), and Hendrix Miyasaki Shin (Creative Director).
His exposure over the years to a broad spectrum of products, industries and people, gives him a broad base of experience and design expertise. He has worked with a diverse set of clients and agencies including Elle Magazine, McCann, McDonald’s, Ogilvy, Oracle, Pfizer, Revlon, Starbucks, Starwood Hotels, University of Hawaii, Visa, and others.
Jesse has taught typography and graphic design at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa, Kapi’olani Community College and California College of the Arts. He continues to teach Adobe software at Pacific New Media in Honolulu.
